Default Do you have any experience with atom processor?

    Hi friends,

I did not know that one processor named atom has launched from intel and they are working it out well.
Yesterday one of my friend called me and told that he had purchased a desktop with atom processor. And he told me that it is so cheap and efficient, It was new to me though.

What is an atom processor in net while I made search it is showing that atom is the smallest processor and rather cheap..

    Please share your ideas..

Intel Atom is used on small computers like netbooks. It works great and consumes less energy. I've been waiting for the nVidia ion to be released on the market because this two components works great together. Imagine playing crysis with 30 FPS with it.

Good luck. The CPU wouldn't be able to handle it, and the ION isn't that powerful of a graphics chipset.

The atom is fine for simple tasks, like processing word documents and playing in Paint, but anything else and it will slow to a crawl.
