Printer won't work

I have a HP scanner printer all in one. One day it said the black ink was low But it printed fine. Then the paper ran out and I didn't have any.When I got paper and put it in it still tell me there is no paper and refuses to print.any ideas how to fix this? I was thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling.

I think there is some connection problem between printer and computer.I think better you first uninstall it and then reinstall it.
