Default What's the big differencies between LGA socket 1366 and 1156

So intel decided to mix up the new processors for 2010 with moterboard sockets LGA 1366 and LGA 1156. Im not fully informed of the difference between them and why anyone would buy the one of the other.

The LGA 1366 that for example supports the extreme edition of intel i7 would mean it's faster and better support for a faster system overall. The LGA 1156 support the intel i3 CPU's which is both cheaper and slower than intel i7.

Please discuss the major differencies and why buy one over the other.
