USB Memory stick not working

Hi. I have an 1 Gb Memory stick and is not working. One day it suddenly did not work. I can not format it, I can't use it. When I try to use enter in the memory stik it says : No memory stick inserted ... Can I do something to make it work?

Which was the company of the memory stick? You can contact the dealer if the memory stick is in warranty period. Otherwise you cannot do much about it.

Is the memory stick password protected? If it is then first unlock and then try using it.
